Happy Holidays, fellow Leos!
A picture tells a thousand words, so here's some pictures from our recent projects!

PMR Workshop
Prior to the PMRs, the Kancil Tuision Centre was invited to give a informative talk on certain PMR subjects.















Visit to PAWS Selangor
Leos were also given a chance to volunteer and help out at the PAWS Selangor. We were asked to clean the animal houses and the animals themselves, besides getting the chance of taking them out for a stroll.

This is where we guys meet other clubs and discuss our issues and achievements together !


This is the invitation letter to all Leo members :

Date : 7th November 2009
Time : 8.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.
Venue : Taylor's University College
Attire : STRICTLY Club Uniform / School Uniform
Fees : RM3 (early registration/confirmation)RM5 (register at door)

Please inform any Leo Pravin Dillion , Leo Kar Yan and Leo Mei Shia ( all from 3 Usaha) if you're interested to attend this meeting, and pay up, by 20th October 2009. You're very much encouraged to attend though (:

Agenda for RCC Meeting:
1) Projects Presentation- Each club should prepare Powerpoint slides regarding past and upcoming projects.
- Maximum time limit of 10 mintues per club
- Presentation should contain NO MUSIC
- Presentation must NOT be in a video format.
- One representative speaker per club.
2) Q&A Session with RCC / Any Lions present
3) Meeting Adjourned
4) Light Refreshments

Hey Leos,

On the behalf of the BODs and Key Officers, I would like to wish you all good luck and all the best for exams, especially to the form 3s and form5s taking the major examinations.

On a side note, the blog will be on hiatus for awhile till we settle with the examinations. Sorry!

But don't worry, updates will be up and on the blog as soon as possible.

Walkathon '09 - Walk For A Greener Tomorrow

Attention all Leos,

The Leo Club of Monash University will be having a walkathon, aimed to raise funds for adopting trees!
Details are as follows:

Theme: Walk for a Greener Tomorrow
Date: 4th October 2009 (Sunday)
Time: 7 am to 12 pm
Venue: Monash University Bandar Sunway

    • This event targets students and staffs from colleges and universities. Besides that, it is also opens to general public within the age limit of 16-50. Students are allowed to bring along family members and friends to participate in this event.
    • All participants are entitled to a lucky draw and receive a certificate of participation.
    • A booth will be set up before the event for T-shirt distributing.
    • RM 15.00 for each participant.
    • Application deadline: 27th September 2009
    • All payments must be paid before the application deadline.
    • With registration, each participant will receive a custom-designed T-shirt.

Leo Club of SMK Subang Jaya Installation



On the 21st of August 2009, the Leo Club of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Subang Jaya their annual installation.
Details on the event are as follows:

Venue : 4 Setia .
Time : 1pm to 1.45pm
Dresscode : Club uniform for BODs, school uniform for regular members and inductees.

The event kicked off with the meeting called to order by the OC, our beloved incoming President, Leo Elizabeth Chong Yie-Chuen, followed by the Leo Pledge as well as 3 roars for the club.

Next, our Lion Advisor, Lion Dato' Neo Say Yeow, gave a brief speech, and reminded us of our past loss of confidence. Yet, he is confident we will continue to push
on past all that, back to mainstream.

The event continued with the speech by the incoming President, Leo Elizabeth Chong, followed an inspirational speech by the outgoing President, Leo Tony Moey, who advised the younger Leos to always work hard for the things they want.

The highlight of the event came as it was time for the induction of the new Leos and the incoming Board of Directors of 09/10. Next, it was the presentation of certificates to the fellow Leos. Incase you have no idea what I am talking about, read on...

As of this year, the school has acknowledge the contribution and service of Leos to the school. Our beloved En Quek, (Penolong Kanan Kokurikulum) has agreed to giving certificates to certain Leos to show the school's appreciation for the Leos tireless and enthusiastic service to the school. Today the school has given out 43 certificates of appreciation to hardworking Leos.

Before the event ended, we took a time to show our appreciation to Lion Dato' Neo's presence with a small souvenir presented by our teacher advisor.
Meeting adjourned at 1.45pm.

This Ain't No Monkey Business!

Hey Leos,

Here's a little update on a recent activity!

Date : 14th August 2009
Venue : Dewan Sri, SMK Subang Jaya
Event : Talk on Orang-Utan and Saving Them
Time : 7.45-8.40 am (1st and 2nd period)

The Leo Club of SMKSJ cooperated with a team of students, one of them our very own Environmental and Health Director, Leo John Chia, in successfully holding a very informative talk about Orang-Utans.

Invited were speakers from Wild Out Experiences, or better known as W-O-X Sdn Bhd , one of the inspiring NGOs in Malaysia, doing their part in helping species that are in the brink of extinction (orang utans).

Hey Leos !


I know we haven't been updating as it's been a hectic week with the exams ! But this Friday is our Leo Installation !

Venue : 4 Setia . ( If your wondering where is this class , it's on the same floor and row as the school office , just keep walking all the way to the end )

Time : 1pm to 2pm ( It won't take too long , I know you guys would want to study and so on)

Dresscode : Come in your school uniform ! ;D

I can't wait to see you guys there ! ;D

By the way , I'll like to thank Leo Melissa , Leo Naadia and Leo April for doing the backdrop ! :D
